The HUD Certified Housing Counselor is responsible for providing comprehensive homebuyer education and counseling services to clients. The Housing Counselor works one-on-one with program participants to coach and motivate them to achieve their goals for housing stability and financial opportunity with money management, credit, rental, home ownership, and foreclosure counseling. This position requires a strong understanding of housing finance, fair housing laws, and effective counseling techniques. This position may conduct eligibility determination assessments for special or new programs.
