Financial Literacy Classes

Financial Fitness

Teaching individuals to understand personal finance is the goal of the Colorado Housing Enterprise (CHE) class, Financial Fitness.

Financial literacy helps families become aware of common financial mistakes and teaches them how to avoid such pitfalls and achieve their dreams. CHE uses the NeighborWorks® Financial Fitness Training Program curriculum. This program is dedicated to educating individuals about managing money.

This course will assist individuals in setting financial goals, making money, budgeting, establishing credit, and savings and investing. The class covers the following subjects:

  • Steps to Financial Success
  • Personal Finance and Banking
  • Creating and Managing a Budget
  • Credit Management
  • Savings and Investment Strategies
  • Planning for Retirement
  • Consumer Rights
