Who
We Serve
At CRHDC, we work with low-to-moderate income individuals.
In 2000, the National Economic Council released a study showing that 69 percent of those earning minimum wage ($5.15 per hour) are adults. These adults often are struggling to provide for their families. This situation makes it difficult for people in Colorado to purchase a home, or live in a decent, stable community.
According to the National Low Income Housing Coalition, a minimum wage worker would have to work 129 hours per week to afford a modest two bedroom apartment, at a fair market rate. This situation requires that low income families spend at least 30 percent of their income on housing.
Since 1971, we have helped more than 1,300 families achieve their dream of home ownership. We have also provided the tools and resources necessary for low- and moderate-income individuals and families to find safe and affordable rental housing.
While the situation for safe, affordable housing in Colorado continues to be difficult, CRHDC is working to build stable communities and help families achieve their dreams.
